WELCOME! I’M JACKIE.
I’m a decorator, mom, pet collector, and dinner party enthusiast with a lifelong love of creating warm, inviting spaces that are as practical as they are chic.
I specialize in interiors that pair old and new, thrifted and custom, and help clients achieve spaces that are sophisticated, comfortable and affordable. I’m here to convince you that anyone can accomplish a gracious, practical and fresh living space regardless of budget or number of pets you found yourself adopting during the pandemic.
My family and I split our time between a tiny townhouse in Washington, DC and an historic colonial on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
FAQs
Q: How much time can I expect a project to take, start to finish?
A: Once we get started, the timeline depends on how quickly you are able to make decisions and which products are available for shipping. The pandemic has caused significant production delays, so if you think you’re going to want to work with a designer, you should start the process sooner rather than later so your space is finished when you need it.
Q: I would love to have help with my spaces, but I’m not sure I can afford to hire a designer?
A: We have two affordable options if you’re comfortable setting up your spaces on your own. If you need more hands-on help, we bill at an hourly rate that does not include placing the usual designer “up-charge” on furniture selections. We can work within all budgets and are more than willing to work on large projects in phases, setting you up with a design plan you can work on implementing gradually.
Q: What will the process be line when we decide to work together?
A: The first step is filling out our contact form, and we will circle back within 2 business days to set a time to discuss your project. From there, you’ll receive a contract outlining the scope of the project, a projected timeline, and an estimated number of designer hours. Once the contract is signed, you will be billed for a deposit equal to five hours of designer time. We will then turn around the first round of proposed designs and shared budget tracker within two weeks, and begin the ordering process as soon as items are approved.
